Prior to joining Kalypso, Stephen worked for Johnson & Johnson in the Consumer Group of Companies focusing on process optimization and cost reduction. His responsibilities included managing a portfolio of cost reduction, process improvement and technical support projects. He was also a new product development (NPD) team member responsible for launching new products as the lead packaging engineer. Stephen designed and developed packaging to optimize retail shelf presence and product visibility. His responsibilities included package design and development, package testing, artwork reviews, print and line trials.
Stephen holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University.
Current Projects
Stephen leads Kalypso’s packaging innovation services. He helps his clients address their most critical packaging-related challenges to deliver repeatable packaging innovations. His experience lends itself to understanding the challenges required to successfully optimize packaging processes from concept to shelf including idea and concept management, packaging design, development and commercialization.
Playing an important role helping clients bring products to market through global product development and commercialization process optimization, Stephen has led multiple implementations of packaging artwork management (PAM), product lifecycle management (PLM) and product portfolio management (PPM) solutions that enable the product development process, improve product traceability and manage project portfolios.
Outside of Kalypso
Stephen is an avid CrossFit athlete, appreciates good packaging, loves sharks and is a self-proclaimed recovering breakdancer.
