Industry Leaders Collaborate at NEW Forum in Dallas

Kalypso leads panel on becoming a collaborative and innovative organization

Dallas, TX - Nearly 200 CPG/Retail leaders explored new ways to innovate and collaborate at the NEW Executive Leaders Forum 2010, July 13-15 in Dallas. The event included keynotes by Dave Dillon, CEO of The Kroger Co., Joe DePinto, CEO of 7-Eleven, and Lyn Heward, director of Creation for Cirque du Soleil.

Walmart CEO Bill Simon participated in a roundtable discussion on how the industry could advance women to senior leadership roles. The discussion, led by Forum co-chair Trudy Bourgeois of The Center for Workforce Excellence, also included: Joan Chow, EVP and chief marketing officer of ConAgra Foods; Kim Nelson, SVP of General Mills and president of its Snacks Division; Judy Schmeling, EVP and chief financial officer of HSN Inc.; and David Williams, CEO of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services.

Other highlights included an optional Corporate Athlete® course led by Theresa Robinson of the Human Performance Institute, a NEW at Nite networking party and three concurrent sessions.

"Jumping the Curve: Becoming a Collaborative and Innovative Organization,” was moderated by Helayne Angelus and Mike Friedman, principals at Kalypso, and featured: Daniel Duty, director of business partnerships and negotiation for Target; Elaine Bowers Coventry, group director, global customer marketing for the Coca-Cola Company; Mitchell Habib, EVP, for Global Business Services at The Nielsen Company; and Julie Hamilton, president of the Global Walmart Group at the Coca-Cola Company.

"Personal Sustainability: Innovating through Life’s Stages,” was moderated by Julie Bitter, customer vice president for Kraft Foods, and featured: Lisa Klauser, vice president for consumer and customer solutions at Unilever North America; Rick Klauser, marketing head of U.S. Infant Nutrition for Nestlé; and Tonie Leatherberry, a principal at Deloitte.

"Business Relationships: Adding Value through Collaborative Innovation” was moderated by Beth Marrion, a partner at Accenture and featured: Helena Foulkes, EVP and chief marketing officer of CVS Caremark; Yana Gutierrez, vice president, industry development, for American Express; and Paula Price, EVP and chief financial officer for Ahold USA Retail.
