BEACHWOOD, Ohio – Today, Kalypso announced that Toddi Gutner has joined the firm to help lead the growth of its Business and Innovation Strategy and Front End of Innovation practices.
The people of Kalypso combine unparalleled expertise in innovation with a depth of experience in the consumer goods, healthcare, high technology, manufacturing, life sciences and retail industries. Toddi brings over 25 years of experience creating communication and marketing initiatives, and leading organizational change management and design thinking training sessions for companies and organizations such as PFIZER, Capital One, VIAD, and AARP.
“Toddi brings a breadth of expertise that supports innovation initiatives for Kalypso’s clients,” says Mike Friedman, partner and consumer packaged goods (CPG) practice lead at Kalypso. “Her experience leading organizational change management, marketing initiatives and design thinking expands our consumer brands capabilities.”
Prior to joining Kalypso, Toddi specialized in organizational change leadership and building brands through developing user-centric capabilities and strategic communication and marketing initiatives. She currently serves as an adjunct professor at Cornell Tech and Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Business Executive Education program, where she teaches graduate students and senior executives IDEO’s user-centric innovation methodology in the class/workshop: “Innovation: The Art of Design Thinking.”
Previously, Toddi was an award-winning financial journalist for the Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek and Forbes magazines, and collaborated on The M Word: The Money Talk Every Family Needs to Have About Wealth and Their Financial Future (McGraw-Hill, 2013).
Toddi holds a Master of Science degree from Northwestern University’s Medill Graduate School of Journalism as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from University of Michigan. She participated in Design Thinking Training at Stanford University Hasso-Plattner Institute of Design.
Toddi lives in Chappaqua, NY with her husband and two teenage sons. She enjoys adventure travel and aspires to be a better cook so her kids will enjoy her dinners.
