Joe brings to Kalypso's clients a deep global industry set of experiences and expertise in engineering, quality and operations management. Joe also has a strong educational background; doing his PhD studies in semiconductor theory, processing and design at the University of Cincinnati where he obtained both a MSEE and BSEE.
Prior to joining Kalypso in 2006, Joe held key engineering positions within industry including Teradyne, Inc., a leading semiconductor ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) provider, where he led process reengineering initiatives to improve the enabling technology & design methodologies. Joe has also held senior management positions in engineering, operations, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain at Analog Devices, Raytheon Corporation, Digital Equipment Corporation, Fairchild Semiconductor and Texas Instruments. These experiences encompassed technology management, product, test, design and reliability engineering, engineering services and manufacturing operations globally for these firms.
Since joining the firm, Joe has served his clients in transforming their processes, tools and organizations to deliver on the promise of innovation by planning and implementing digital technology capabilities. Joe has assisted his clients in nearly all areas of innovation including process reengineering, resource management, leadership alignment, organizational change management, IP commercialization and systems implementation comprised of PLM, PPM, MES, and other NPD/NPI technology solutions.
His clients’ projects involved improvements for their new product development, introduction and global manufacturing processes; working with internal and sub-contracted operations for high tech, medical device, semiconductor and manufacturing companies. These activities include strategic assessments, POCs (Proof of Concepts), pilots and implementations of digital technology solutions targeted to improve their return on their new product development and introduction processes of manufacturing engineering, research and development teams.
Joe and his wife currently live in the foothills of the Appalachians (Smokey Mountains) in upstate South Carolina. They lived in the Boston area for 20 years, where their two adult sons, daughter-in-law and two granddaughters currently live. They split their time between their home in SC and their condo in Kennebunk, Maine (both “summering” and “holidaying” there). Joe is an avid baseball fan ("Do it again Red Sox! or anybody but the Yankees!"), he also enjoys college basketball ("Go Cincy Bearcats!"), hiking and meteorology. Joe and his wife enjoy being with their families including their animal companions, two Golden Retrievers, Keeva and Dasher.
