Session 1: The Power of the Business Case: Facilitating Change Management with Agile PLM
Speakers: Barb Ruble, Medtronic Cardiovascular Division; Lee Peterman, Kalypso
Date: Wednesday, September 22, 2010
Place: Moscone West L2, Room 2011
This session will discuss how the power of a real PLM business case can mobilize the need for improvement across a global business environment. As part of the creation of a global quality management system, Medtronic created a set of simplified, common processes to facilitate configuration management in a federally regulated industry, including enabling real-time, asynchronous “upfront collaboration.” This session will explore best practices for the unification of change management across 15 global sites at Medtronic, including global process alignment workshops, conference room pilots, data migration, and phased roll-outs. Participants will learn how Agile PLM can facilitate this transformational change, speed change processes, and provide powerful change analytics and required auditability.
Session 2: How Agile PLM is Changing the Landscape in Consumer Packaged Goods
Speaker: George Young, Kalypso
Date: Thursday, September 23, 2010
The demand for the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry to innovate is greater than ever in this post-recession marketplace. Fundamental changes to the processes and technologies that enable, manage, and measure product innovation throughout the lifecycle are required. You will learn how implementing a specification management system such as Oracle's Agile PLM platform, driven by a central product data record, is changing the CPG landscape by delivering improved time to profit, state-of-the-art compliance and traceability, and consumer and brand protection. This session discusses success stories from leading CPG companies that have deployed Agile PLM applications, recognizing that PLM is no longer a luxury but a necessity.
