Prior to joining Kalypso, Michael was vice president and director of engineering for Greene, Tweed & Company, a 1400-employee engineered polymer solutions company serving the medical device, semiconductor, oilfield, aerospace and petrochemical industries. Michael led design and product development activities of a team spanning the US, Europe and Asia, and implemented the global staged development solution for the company. Michael also headed the medical device business for Greene, Tweed & Company as general manager.
Previously, Michael built a consulting practice assisting portfolio companies of Safeguard Scientifics, a holding company that invests in growth-oriented life sciences and information technology companies. He also spent eight years at Arthur Andersen’s Business Consulting practice where he led ERP, operational improvement and change projects for clients in the life sciences, manufacturing, high technology and services industries.
Michael began his career working for General Motors Corporation progressing through a variety of manufacturing, production and quality roles to quality manager of a $2 billion automotive assembly plant.
He has an MBA from Harvard Business School as a General Motors Fellowship recipient, and a BSME from General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan.
Current Projects
Michael has extensive experience systematically commercializing products and technologies, developing strategy and deploying enterprise technologies for life sciences, A&D and manufacturing clients. His areas of expertise include new product development, business and innovation strategy, large-scale organizational change leadership, and open innovation. Michael also has deep experience architecting and aligning PLM solutions to enhance strategic results.
Outside of Kalypso
Michael resides in southeastern Pennsylvania with his wife and family. Michael recently restored a 1969 Camaro that he has owned for years. Weekends find Michael and his wife exploring the backroads of Chester County in the Camaro.
