Marketing Executive and CPG Expert Howard Liszt Joins Kalypso Board of Advisors

Former CEO of Campbell Mithun brings 35 years of experience to advisory role

Beachwood, OHIO - Kalypso, the world's premier innovation consulting firm, announced today that Howard Liszt has joined the firm’s Board of Advisors. Howard brings 35 years of business management, marketing, and strategic communication leadership to Kalypso.

In addition to his role as a Kalypso advisor, Howard is a senior fellow at the University of Minnesota, where he leads a number of education initiatives for students interested in strategic communications careers. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Land O' Lakes and is chairman of OCO Holdings, a diversified communications service company.

From 1994 until his retirement in 2000, Howard was chief executive officer of Campbell Mithun, a national marketing communications agency he joined in 1976. Throughout his tenure at Campbell Mithun, Howard made significant contributions to the growth of firm’s accounts and expansion into fully integrated marketing communications services, also serving as president/chief operating officer and general manager. Under his leadership, Campbell Mithun grew to become a top 15 international advertising firm, with annual billings exceeding $1 billion and a diverse client roster of leading national and international brands. Clients who worked with Howard include Andersen Corp., Century 21, Dominos, General Mills, Kmart, Kroger, Ocean Spray, Pfizer, Target, Toro, and The Travelers.

In 2000, Howard was named the Silver Medal Award winner by the American Advertising Federation for his career contributions – the organization’s highest award for achievement. He was also awarded the University of Minnesota's Alumni Award of Excellence in 2007.
A Minneapolis native, Howard is active in numerous business and community organizations. Previous boards on which he has served include Ocular Sciences, Microgistix, Viking Enterprises, ShuffleMaster, Coleman (Chairman) and Zomax (Chairman), the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s), National Easter Seals Society, and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra.

Howard holds a B.A. in Journalism and Marketing and a M.S. in Marketing from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He resides with his wife in suburban Minneapolis.
