How Private Brands Can Partner for Profit
Today’s retailers and food manufacturers appear to be locked in a fierce battle of the brands: retailers continue to expand and launch private brands while manufacturers are trying to protect their brand value and win back market share. However, despite differing business imperatives, enlightened retailers and manufacturers are partnering to drive profitability by as much as 15 to 20 percent with collaborative innovation. This session explores how retailers can work with manufacturers to develop more compelling, innovative offerings for consumers and jointly grow sales and profits as a result. At the core of this session are best practices for implementing collaborative innovation based on the results of an executive research study with 30 retailers and manufacturers.
