BEACHWOOD, Ohio and BOERNE, Texas - Kalypso, the world’s premier innovation consulting firm, is partnering with Stelos Alliance, a non-profit scholarship organization for extraordinary young leaders, to provide four annual scholarships to undergraduate engineering students at North Carolina State University.
Applications for the Kalypso Wolfpack Innovators Scholarship are currently being accepted through May 15, 2012 at stelos.org/ncstate. Students classified as full-time sophomores or juniors in an undergraduate engineering major are eligible to apply. Up to four $2,000 awards will be distributed to selected recipients prior to the fall 2012 semester.
Emily Adams, senior manager at Kalypso and NC State alumna says the scholarship was created to build relationships with students interested in pursuing a career in client services. “We hope these scholarships honor the innovation and aptitude of promising students at NC State and create opportunities for us to build relationships with talented young people preparing to enter the workforce,” Adams said.
In addition to two short essays, students are asked to submit a podcast explaining their alignment with Kalypso’s core values.
Hajar Abu-Zayed, an analyst at Kalypso and recent recruit from NC State University, explains how using a podcast entry as part of the application process is a vehicle to displaying uniqueness and character, which is a core value to Kalypso: “My favorite Kalypso value is Characters with Character. I’m looking forward to seeing how the students will use the podcast entry as a way to introduce themselves and exemplify how they fit in a firm full of characters. Being an alumni, I know these Wolfpack students will not have a problem with that!”
