Prior to joining Kalypso, Selvia gained experience in business intelligence, data processes, marketing analytics and reporting while working for a software development company where she managed the Starcom Mediavest Group account for P&G. She was also a brand leader at Universidad Tec Milenio, where she led projects to help improve brand awareness, consideration, purchase intent and advocacy. Additionally, Selvia assisted the European Strategic Marketing department of Arjowiggins Graphic, a paper manufacturer based in Paris.
Before starting her Master studies, Selvia worked in the flexible package industry and was selected for an International Business Leadership Program to develop marketing research in Colombia, Argentina, South Africa, Chile and Brazil for Tecnobrick, a company operating in the construction materials field.
Selvia holds a Master's degree in Marketing, Communications and Business Strategies with a Branding specialization from INSEEC, Paris. She also received her Bachelor’s degree in International Business from ITESM and a Bachelor’s degree in Management from École de Management de Grenoble.
Selvia supports Kalypso's client services teams with functional and technical services. She also assists in the development of Kalypso’s Monterrey Technology Center, leading human resources, facilitating the integration of new team members into the broader firm and ensuring that the Kalypso culture is established in the new organization. In addition, she is leading regional business development for Latin America.
Outside of Kalypso
Selvia was born in Monterrey, Mexico, but spent her childhood in Cadereyta, a town 45 minutes away from the city. She loves traveling, getting to know different cultures, watching movies, going to the theater, dancing, soccer, karaoke and challenges. She speaks Spanish, English and French fluently, and is learning Italian.
