Tom Warren - A Character With Character
...because interesting people are more fun to work with
I’ve been described as a Yankee trapped in a Southerner's body; I always thought that was kind of a misdirected and obtuse compliment, depending on where you're from and how you describe your heritage. But, as a fifth generation Atlantan I’m loyal to the incredible tastes and aromas of Southern cooking, particularly those that emanate from my Big Green Egg (a device known only to those who have mastered the grilling arts). I’m a frustrated Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket and feel that things will only get worse for their basketball, football, baseball, tennis, debate and chess teams. I take little solace in the academic rigor of The Institute, and would like for all student athletes to attend Agnes Scott College, much like those Nashvillians who matriculate from Peabody Teacher's College, but unashamedly display a Vanderbilt diploma. I refuse to recognize the "other" University of Georgia in Athens.
Your favorite cuisine?
Sashimi.
To what faults do you feel most indulgent?
Belgian waffles.
What natural gift would you most like to possess?
To be able to hit a major league curve ball, and conversely, to be able to throw a major league fast ball.
If you were a sports franchise, which franchise would you be and why?
Instead of a franchise, I’d rather be a top 5 PGA pro - they're a franchise in and of themselves.
When was a time you were indomitably confident?
The last time I was discussing a client's strategy and how Kalypso could help make it a living, breathing, implementable business plan.
