Molly MacNeil - A Character With Character
...because interesting people are more fun to work with
I come from an amazing family; I am supported daily by great parents and am the oldest of three sisters, both of whom are my best friends. I was raised in Katy, Texas where I spent all of my life until attending Texas State University in San Marcos. Upon graduation, I took off to Europe with some friends and a backpack, and had some of the best experiences of my life - traveling is my passion. I then landed a fabulous job that combined my love for product development, personal development and travel all in one. Although I had great memories of Katy, it was time to spread my wings and make a move, so I bought a one-way ticket to New York City and made it my home. I have now lived in the Big Apple for a year with three of my best friends enjoying every weekend like it’s a vacation. I am doing what I love on a daily basis and living exactly where I want - life is great. My biggest issue right now is deciding whether I can be a Houston Texans fan and a New York Giants fan. Thoughts? Also, can an addiction to dark chocolate be healthy? Think about the antioxidants!
What is your most treasured possession?
Other than my iPhone, my most treasured possession is my passport. With it I am free to travel the world - what could be better?
What is your greatest fear?
FOMO (Fear. Of. Missing. Out.) Google it, it’s real - I promise. Whether it’s missing a great music festival, a friend’s party or Pilates class, I never want to miss out on the fun. Actually, I’d like to be fearless - aren’t all Kalypsonians?
What do you most value in your friends?
Trustworthiness. I am fortunate to have amazing friends who are fun, supportive and laid-back with lots of other great qualities - but at the end of the day I find it most important to have their complete trust at all times.
If you were a restaurant, which restaurant would you be and why?
My favorite New York restaurant: ABC Kitchen. It is dressed in the most elegant white décor, which you can purchase next door, and serves fresh organic food with amazing gluten-free options (a must for me). ABC Kitchen also boasts a fabulous wine list and yummy desserts (also a must for me). Also, Jay-Z was recently sighted there!
What is the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
It was pretty risky making the move to NYC. It is certainly very expensive, but still the best decision I have ever made. I believe life is what you make of it and you should always take risks. Why not?
