by Jenna Dudevoir on May 5th, 2010

Attending Food Manufacturing Institute's FMI 2010 next week in Las Vegas? Catch George Young's presentation in the Private Brands pavilion on Tuesday, May 11 at 8AM on implementing a collaborative innovation strategy for for private brands.

How Private Brands Can Partner for Profit

Today’s retailers and food manufacturers appear to be locked in a fierce battle of the brands: retailers continue to expand and launch private brands while manufacturers are trying to protect their brand value and win back market share. However, despite differing business imperatives, enlightened retailers and manufacturers are partnering to drive profitability by as much as 15-20% with collaborative innovation. This session explores how retailers can work with manufacturers to develop more compelling, innovative offerings for consumers and jointly grow sales and profits as a result. At the core of this session are best practices for implementing collaborative innovation based on the results of an executive research study with 30 retailers and manufacturers.

George's presentation will feature insights from Kalypso's research from both manufacturers and retailers, and will explore the four leading practices for bringing collaborative innovation to your organization.
