Chris Atkins Discusses Merger, New Role at Kalypso

by Jenna Dudevoir on September 30th, 2010

Last week we announced our merger with Metafore. I sat down with one of Metafore's co-founders and new Kalypso partner, Chris Atkins, to get his thoughts on the big news.

The merger has been announced. What has the response been thus far?

The reaction received has been quite positive. Clients know Metafore for its PLM consulting and services, and have indicated an interest in learning more about Kalypso's innovation consulting.

As a combined firm how can we better serve clients?

As a result of the merger, we now have the ability to offer a broad spectrum of PLM tools and business solutions. We have enhanced our domain expertise in several business sectors - automotive, A&D (aircraft, aerospace), CPG, medical devices, and high tech. Our business knowledge is unique in the PLM space. Our ability to align client requirements with high value business solutions - driven by the client need, not the tool - gives the clear advantage to Kalypso.

What areas will you be focusing on in your new role as partner?

In my role as partner, my short-term goal and objective is to embody the culture, mission and values of Kalypso, and to share my prior experience in business development and delivery services with my fellow Kalypsonians.

What is your favorite Kalypso value?

Professionalism, Integrity & Quality. If we deliver each of these, we develop a client trust relationship. With a trust relationship established, we are considered experts. As experts, we can be first to get the call for new opportunities. Hence, the consulting circle of life.

What are you looking forward to the most as a Kalypsonian?

Helping others to achieve personal growth and success - for both external and internal clients. If we succeed at the personal level, we achieve at the firm level - zero degrees of separation.
