Prior to joining Kalypso, Karla gained experience in business intelligence, data and operations management, as well as marketing analytics while working for an international software development company leading the North and Latin American Demand Generation account for SAP. She coordinated the establishment of the regional client service department for MSIGHTS Inc. in Monterrey, Mexico; leading recruitment, onboarding, staffing and training.
Karla holds a Master's degree in Public Administration and Political Sciences from EGAP-EGADE Business School with a U.S. – Mexico Relations Certification from Harvard’s JFK School of Government. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from ITESM with a minor in Economics from Singapore Management University and a Global Business Management Certification from the University of North Carolina.
Karla led the establishment and development of the Kalypso's Monterrey Technical Center (MTC) in Mexico and continues to assist the tech center as part of the MTC Advisory Board with: recruitment, career planning and development, as well as coordinating the Women in Technology network.
Her focus at Kalypso is Serving as the Organization and Change Management service area lead within Kalypso’s Strategy and Operations Steering Team. With extensive experience in Change Management for IT Implementations in Agile and Waterfall Methodologies, Karla is specialized in Organizational Change Management Strategy and Implementation, including: Stakeholder Identification, Leadership Alignment, Training Development and Facilitation, Communication, User Adoption and Health Metrics, Innovative Collaboration, and Innovation Results Transformation with experience spanning across industries: Consumer Packaged Goods, Food and Beverage, Life and Sciences, Industrial Manufacturing and Semiconductors.
Karla enjoys traveling the world, learning about new cultures and languages. She is fluent in Spanish, French and English, and dancing to Hawaiian music. When she is not traveling, she loves indoor running, watching movies and driving.
