Education and Experience
Prior to joining Kalypso, Rich was Vice President, Business Development at Enginuity PLM, a global provider of enterprise software, where he developed new business partnerships, led sales and marketing activities, and managed enterprise system implementation projects. Rich also owned a consulting company, ERG H2O, which provides services in operations and new product development.
As a senior executive with Revlon Consumer Products, he was responsible for Revlon’s global new product commercialization. Rich led operations at Revlon’s sole North American manufacturing facility and numerous transformation teams focused on information technology, lean manufacturing, operations cycle time improvements, and new product development.
Rich has also held roles at other large consumer packaged goods (CPG) and chemical organizations including Unilever and Sigma-Aldrich. He started his career as a chemical engineer with the Newberry Energy group. Rich has had functional responsibility for R&D, operations, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, construction and business analytics. He has been part of numerous innovative new technology launch teams – such as Colorstay, Mendadent, Vital Radiance and Vaseline Intensive Care.
Rich holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arizona, and is an active member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC), the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS).

Rich’s extensive experience in business strategy, systems implementations, operations excellence, and new product development enables him to assist clients with R&D process improvement, lean manufacturing, operations, initiatives in PLM technology and new product launches.

Outside the Office
Rich tries to keep up with his two teenage daughters who are well into their college careers. He is an avid scuba diver which entails travel to exotic dive locations. Rich has been a private pilot for 20 years – including volunteering for the Civil Air Patrol and the Young Eagles. He is President of his Fraternity Alumni Board and volunteers with numerous local charities. He enjoys outside activities such as biking, kayaking, and skiing. Rich lives in Milford, CT – close to the waters of the Long Island Sound.
