Education and Experience

Joe brings to Kalypso's clients a deep global industry expertise in engineering and operations management. In addition, Joe also has a strong educational background with PhD studies in semiconductor theory, processing and design at the University of Cincinnati where he holds both a MSEE and BSEE.

Prior to joining Kalypso, Joe held key senior management positions in industry, most recently with Teradyne, Inc., a leading ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) OEM & capital equipment supplier to semiconductor and high-tech manufacturers. For Teradyne, Joe led a process reengineering initiative to improve the ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) design methodology. He served as the chief architect and team leader for the project that included the creation of a dashboard for the ASIC development process. Joe later drove the ECO-PDM initiative across engineering, operations, and IT. The project implemented a new business process and enterprise Product Lifecycle Management system for the engineering and supply chain groups in design, manufacturing, and NPI (new product introduction). Joe has held senior management positions in engineering, operations, manufacturing, and supply chain at Analog Devices, Inc., Raytheon Corporation, Digital Equipment Corporation and Texas Instruments.

Work With Kalypso

Joe's areas of expertise include process reengineering, leadership alignment, organizational change management and systems implementation both in new product development and introduction and global manufacturing including internal and sub-contracted operations for high tech, computer, semiconductor companies and their capital equipment suppliers. Since joining Kalypso, Joe has been assisting clients in PLM solution projects from strategic assessment to implementation. He helps clients by increasing the effectiveness of their product lifecycle management processes and improving the operating results from their manufacturing engineering and development teams.

Outside the Office

Joe and his wife recently relocated to Western North Carolina from the Boston area where their two adult sons live. In addition to being an avid baseball fan ("Do it again Red Sox!"), Joe also enjoys college basketball ("Go Cincy Bearcats!"), hiking, golfing and meteorology. When hanging out at home with his wife, he can be found playing with their canine companions Tex and Twink.
