Bill is a founding partner of Kalypso and brings over 22 years of professional and management consulting experience to our clients. He runs operations and business development for the firm while leading the portfolio and pipeline management practice and serving clients in technology-driven industries.

Education and Experience

Prior to founding Kalypso, Bill was a partner at Deloitte Consulting where he spent eleven years serving clients across industries and business functions. He was a leader and driver of growth in the firm’s product innovation & lifecycle management consulting practice. His expertise is in the transformation of organizations to deliver on the promise of innovation. Bill’s specific areas of focus include innovation strategy, portfolio management, product development process improvement, technology commercialization, PLM & PPM technology strategy, leadership alignment, and organizational change. He received an MBA from the University of Texas and a BBA from Texas State University.

Bill has extensive experience in helping clients improve the return on their investments in innovation through broad-based process change, improved governance, and the application of technology. He is a recognized thought leader, frequent speaker, and author on innovation, product development, lifecycle management, and commercialization. Over the years he has served clients by leveraging his experience in many industries including networking, wireless telecommunications, semiconductor, medical devices, insurance, manufacturing, high tech, and consumer packaged goods. Not one to sit still, he also plays a key role in developing new services, creating alliance relationships, and building the terrific team of Kalypso consultants.

Outside the Office

Bill serves as the President of the Stelos Alliance, a non-profit corporation benefitting college-level student leaders. He is a member of the Texas State University Development Foundation Board of Directors. He also serves the University on the Academic Excellence committee and as Chairman of the Student Foundation Alumni Advisory Board. He is a recent recipient of the University’s Alumni Star Award. Bill makes his home in the Texas Hill Country near Austin and San Antonio where he enjoys the challenge of keeping up with an incredibly understanding wife and four very active children during his occasional weekends at home. The Postons make good use of Bill’s frequent flyer miles in search of snow, sand, sun, fun, and family time.
